Job description

What Commercial Technologies Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health

Commercial Technologies manages the enterprise's portfolio of commercial technologies to maximize the business value of the technologies and enhance the customer experience. This function creates strategies for the portfolio and innovative solutions based on relationships with business leaders, develops back-end solutions and capabilities, and improves the front-end experience.

Commercial Technologies Software Engineering develops design options, process improvements and back-end solutions for commercial technologies to maximize performance and suitability for business needs. This job family manages engineering projects and plans for commercial technologies and interfaces with product managers to develop objectives. This job family assesses product systems, identifies opportunities for process and system improvements, and develops solutions through application of engineering principles.

This role will be responsible for the overarching integration architecture and pipelines for multiple business units, ensuring the implementation of solutions are provided in a consistent and scalable manner to meet the requirements of growth business units.

Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple integration platforms and integration artifacts to support critical business applications and analytics
  • Work with multiple business stakeholders and external partners to develop the optimal integration pattern to best meet the client and application requirements.
  • Work in an Agile development environment as a hands-on engineer delivering integration solutions to deliver data movement and transformations
  • Continuously learn new technologies, integration concepts and data sets.
  • Complex problem solving

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Mirth Connect certification preferred
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform and AWS
  • Experience with data integration and JavaScript
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with healthcare data (HL7, 837/835 EDI files) required

Anticipated salary range: $121,600 - $182,385
