Drive Excellence in Global Trade (GT) Compliance at Collins Aerospace!  As a Customs Specialist, you will be the primary contact with Customs brokers and internal customers to troubleshoot import delays and track shipment status. You will also be responsible for supporting the audit of import and export transactions, and for additional special projects.

This role will be worked remotely in the U.S.

What You Will Do:

  • Work under/within the US import and export regulations (15 C.F.R., 19 C.F.R., and 22 C.F.R.) and Harmonized Tariff System of the US

  • Review import transactions to ensure timely, accurate and compliant Customs clearance

  • Support import and export post-transaction audits

  • Support duty mitigation activities

  • Assist with collection and reporting of metrics related to Avionics import and export activities

  • Analyze data and metrics

  • Support day-to-day import process including correspondence with internal and external stakeholders related to imports

  • Special projects as needed to support strategic goals and GT initiatives

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

  • Prior experience in Global Trade

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Customs entry writing experience

  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred

  • Experience interpreting or managing policies and procedures

  • The ability to identify issues in a process and develop creative solutions

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong communications skills are critical to success in this role

  • Ability to apply critical thinking to analyze trends and patterns to improve business processes

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. *Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
