Job Type: New Role

Job Summary:

The QA Analyst is responsible for defining, owning, and continuously improving the company’s quality assurance process. This includes setting QA standards, building scalable testing frameworks, and ensuring the reliability and performance of internal software through manual and automated testing. Working closely with an agile development team, the QA Analyst plays a key role in maintaining high-quality software delivery.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead QA Strategy by defining and owning the end-to-end QA process, including test planning, automation frameworks, and quality standards. Act as the primary QA authority and advocate for testability across the SDLC
  • Design and execute test plans to validate new and existing software features, ensuring functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium and languages such as JavaScript or Java.
  • Triage issues and perform root cause analysis, collaborating with developers and product teams to resolve defects efficiently.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts, advocating for quality and testability throughout the development lifecycle.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience & Education:
    1. 4+ years of experience in QA, including both manual and automated testing
    2. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
    3. ISTQB or Certified Agile Tester certification is an asset
  • Technical Expertise:
    1. Proficiency in automated test platforms like Selenium
    2. Experience with Postman for API testing
    3. Strong SQL skills, preferably with PostgreSQL
    4. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within scrum teams
    5. Knowledge of QA best practices and test automation frameworks
  • Analytical & Problem Solving:
    1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, reproduce, and troubleshoot complex issues
    2. Capable of balancing repeatable testing processes with innovative approaches for edge-case scenarios
    3. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    2. Ability to clearly document defects and explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
    3. Comfortable working cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and internal users
  • Initiative & Adaptability:
    1. Self-starter who can operate with general supervision
    2. Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment
    3. Adaptable to evolving systems and capable of leading improvements in QA practices and tooling
