Frontend / Mobile Developer

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Frontend / Mobile Developer to join their product engineering team, focused on building and optimizing user-facing applications for Point of Sale (POS) systems, checkout workflows, and local payment integrations. This role is critical in delivering seamless mobile and web interfaces tailored to the SME F&B and Retail sectors in Thailand. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in frontend development and localization efforts to meet Thai market-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement mobile and web interfaces for POS systems, including checkout and payment features.
  • Integrate local payment systems and delivery services into POS applications.
  • Design and build user experiences tailored to F&B and Retail operations, ensuring usability, responsiveness, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend engineers to turn product requirements into production-ready frontend solutions.
  • Optimize applications for speed, performance, and offline functionality in high-transaction environments.
  • Conduct testing and debugging, with emphasis on transaction reliability and accuracy in payment workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow frontend development best practices.
  • Contribute to localization efforts, including Thai language UI elements and region-specific payment features.
  • Provide ongoing feedback on Thai market requirements and user behavior to inform frontend and payment product decisions.
  • Stay current with frontend technologies and apply industry trends where appropriate.
  • Operate within a Scrum-based environment, contributing to sprint planning and timely deliverables.
Requirements

Education & Location

  • Bachelors degree in Computer ScienceEngineering,Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Must be currently based in Thailand

Experience

  • 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience in frontend or mobile development
  • Proven experience with POS systems and payment integration is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with frontend components for F&B or Retail CRM/Loyalty systems is a plus

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Flutter, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

  • Experienced with version control systems (e.g., Git) and frontend build tools
  • Solid understanding of cross-platform mobile development
  • Comfortable consuming RESTful APIs and handling data synchronization in mobile apps
  • Knowledge of hybrid app development and app publishing for iOS and Android platforms

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in the context of payments and transaction issues
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deliverables on schedule
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Proficiency in Thai is required

  • Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
