Description

We are hiring a Clinical Applications Analyst who leads clinical process analysis and recommends, prioritizes, and implements plans for improvements and enhancements to new and existing application systems.  Evaluates and applies technology to business processes while continually monitoring and evaluating opportunities for improvements.  Provides consultation, support, and training to system users on enterprise applications and related business processes to ensure organizational effectiveness.  If you enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment and are excited about the opportunity to make a difference every day, then this role may be for you!
 
What You Will Do:
  • Applies clinical and applications expertise in designing, testing, training, and implementing automated solutions to enhance business processes specific to the Electronic Health Record system.  
  • Identifies, develops, and documents system requirements, procedures, processes on an ongoing basis, in support of business needs, in partnership with internal clients.  
  • Assesses training needs for ongoing development and support of Sequoia Living clinical enterprise software applications.  Develops tools, communication, and process documents to fulfill training requirements and leads classes and 1-1 training for users.  
  • Leads project management for enhancements, upgrades, and other changes to the EHR. Develops project scopes, tasks, secures required resources, and produces deliverables on schedule.  Analyzes processes and provides design solutions of new systems and/or implements enhancements to existing systems’ functionality.   
  • Develops short- and long-term goals and objectives in consultation with leadership, community management, and end users and is consistent with Sequoia Living’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Commitment to Inclusion.  Fosters an environment of employee engagement and resident satisfaction.   
  • Enhances the use and capacity of various applications by collecting, analyzing, and testing data.  Identifies and develops customized reports to meet management and organizational reporting needs. Conducts needs-assessments with end users and creates reports as required. 
  • Documents system design specifications, test plans, and production support procedures for software and systems and leads change management for clinical applications. 
  • Develops and maintains customer-focused internal and external relationships with end users; collects input, organizes, and prioritizes needs. Conducts status meetings with end users to ensure progress on deliverables. Provides project updates to stakeholders and gathers feedback on desired enhancements.  
  • Installs patches/fixes provided by application vendors in accordance with IT protocols and internal change control processes. 
  • Establishes, implements, maintains, and documents procedures, metrics, reporting, and auditing guidelines. Monitors and identifies trends; recommends effective solutions to Director of Business Applications and Data Analytics and others. 
  • Identifies and tracks issues and change requests and provides day to day technical support.  Provides troubleshooting and support assistance in an efficient and customer focused manner. 
  • Automates and streamlines business processes in partnership with external and internal collaborators.  Analyzes and tests applications to automate and enhance operational effectiveness.  Provides users with efficient and effective methods of processing and maintaining data.  Advises users on processes and procedures to meet current and future needs.  
  • Creates and modifies reports, data extractions, and interfaces as requested.  Analyzes data to ensure integrity. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems including MatrixCare, Risk Management (RL6), and other enterprise applications. Serves as the primary point of contact for training, support, and troubleshooting during implementation, go-live, stabilization, and ongoing use. 
  • Demonstrates in-depth expertise in 1–2 clinical application areas (e.g., billing, marketing, retail tracker, amortization), with knowledge spanning system design, development, implementation, user training, maintenance, quality assurance, and evaluation. 
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems or equivalent education and professional experience required.  Minimum of three (3) years of clinical applications experience. Five (5) plus years technical and/or clinical experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
