Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a medium to large sales budget to achieve sales and customer targets.

  • Prepare sales forecasts and monitor sales performance against targets.
  • Negotiate sales with existing and potential customers while collaborating with local customer service.

UPM Specialty Papers is looking for Senior Manager, Sales to join our packaging papers sales team in North America.

What you will do 

  • Manage medium-sized or large sales budget to meet designated sales and customer targets 

  • Manage global key accounts for select packaging paper customers 

  • Develop and implement sales plans, activities, and campaigns for an assigned geography, market segment or customers 

  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and targets 

  • Monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas and adapt procedures or re-allocate resources 

  • Regularly liaise with and negotiate sales with existing and potential customers  

  • Contribute to the development of sales, customer retention, pricing, and distribution strategies for area of responsibility through provision of market intelligence and customer information 

  • Cooperate closely with local customer service  

 

 Who you are 

  • You have university degree and minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience 

  • You have a broad knowledge of industrial market (B2B), product and services, sustainability and sales processes (experience in the packaging industry is a plus) 

  • You know and understand sales tools and methodologies 

  • You are proficient in commercial, communication and interpersonal skills. You are highly skilled at prioritising and self-leadership. You network with ease

  • You have knowledge of change management 

  • Spanish language skills are a strong asset 

  • You have knowledge on Microsoft Office tools and experience in using SAP, Oracle and Salesforce 

  • You have wide availability for travel

Salary range: 146,846 to 198,674 USD / year based on qualifications and experience
