Description

This position is responsible for assigning and processing appraisals, requesting status, and handling vendor (appraiser) management-related matters for Union Home Mortgage.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain Case Numbers for government loans
  • Assign appraisal orders within the Mercury Network software system, AMC (Appraisal Management Company) or through the VA Portal
  • Complete appraisal transfers
  • Request status from appraisers to confirm inspection date/delivery of the appraisal
  • Problem-solve appraisal-related matters as they relate to the next department in line
  • Perform all required quality control and data entry within Encompass, FHA Connection and/or the VA Portal
  • Clearly understand and communicate answers to Partners and appraisers through helpdesks 
  • Work with the team to ensure that the department is maintaining its 24-hour SLA
  • Vendor (appraiser) management (vetting of new appraisers and ensuring that appraisers are maintaining proper service levels and professionalism)
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of administrative, mortgage, or customer service experience preferred

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and phone skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet time-sensitive deadlines
