As an account manager for Amazon, you will be responsible for managing and growing the relationship with Amazon US and Canada. In this role, you will formulate and implement account strategies, cultivate sales expansion, and prioritize customer satisfaction at the highest standard. You will work closely with various internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet Amazon's needs and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Amazon. Act as the primary point of contact for all account-related matters.
- Strategic Planning: Create and implement strategic account plans to meet sales targets and business objectives. Identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Enhance sales performance by recognizing and pursuing new business opportunities within the Amazon account. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present proposals that meet Amazon's needs.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze account performance metrics to ensure targets are met. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively. Engage with internal groups to deliver premium service and help.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to deliver tailored solutions for Amazon. Ensure alignment on account strategies and objectives.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with Amazon to secure favorable terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Financial KPI: Proficient in managing the business profitably for Amazon as well as us, ability to communicate the goals back to business, understand the relevant metrics important for business profitability.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities. Use this information to inform account strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Product Launches: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure well-prepared product launches on Amazon. Develop and execute launch plans that maximize visibility and sales.
- Promotional Activities: Plan and execute promotional activities to increase sales and brand awareness on Amazon. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement campaigns. Knowledge of Amazon’s advertising landscape in terms of where and how to invest and understand the different metrics
- Inventory Management: Work with supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels for Amazon. Monitor stock levels and address any issues to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- AI: Awareness and ability to use various AI tools to monitor the content, manage listings and uncover new opportunities is beneficial
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience working with Amazon or other major e-commerce platforms.
- 10+ years of experience in key account management with a focus on e-commerce or retail.
- Demonstrated ability to increase sales in large accounts.
- Proficient in analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to guide decision-making.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to organize work effectively and participate in teamwork.
Pay Transparency Notice:
- Depending on your work location, the compensation for this position with commission can range from $120,000.00 to $165,000.00 for sales performance. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
