What to Expect:
As the Senior Manager of Supply Chain and Operations, the individual will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within Nestlé Health Science (NHSc.). This position is crucial for ensuring that the manufacturing facilities for Specialty Vitamins, Minerals, and Herbal Supplements operate seamlessly, meeting both production timelines and budgetary constraints. The individual's leadership will be instrumental in enhancing compliance across operations, which is essential for maintaining the integrity of the supply chain, ensuring product quality, and adhering to regulatory standards. By managing relationships with both internal and external suppliers and overseeing planning and procurement processes, the Senior Manager will contribute significantly to the overall success and sustainability of the business. The drive for compliance not only mitigates risks but also fosters trust among stakeholders, reinforcing Nestlé's commitment to excellence and accountability in all aspects of its operations. Additionally, the role emphasizes Lean Principles and continuous improvement to eliminate waste and achieve OPEX targets.
A day in the life of a Supply Chain Operations, Senior Manager:
- Manage and maintain a skilled, motivated team of Demand and Supply planners to continuously improve the quality of the Demand and Supply Plans and the efficiency with which they are
- produced.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with co-manufacturers, ensuring terms deliver to optimal supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure co-manufacturer performance and compliance.
- Ensure alignment with business priorities, initiatives and activitieswhile delivering KPIs.
- Effective use of planning, supporting and reporting tools, including use of statistical forecasting. Collaborate with supply chain performance acceleration team to drive improvements in process, capability development, digital acceleration.
- Lead the implementation of digital tools to improve the Demand Supply Planning process for your business/categories (statistical forecasting, locally and globally developed tools)
- Establish and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability in transportation services.
- Mentor and develop team members in inbound transportation management practices, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain operations with business objectives and market demands.
- Participating in and leading projects to drive positive and effective initiatives across the value chain
- Implement Measures and dashboards to ensure visibility to physical logistics operational performance.
- Demonstrated Value Creation through a Lean Enterprise Mindset
- Leads and coaches a high-performance team by clearly communicating expectations and providing consistent, constructive feedback.
- Supports team members to build strong development plans and ensures that the activities meet established objectives.
- Accountability for completing annual reviews for the team and makes the final rating decision
Role Requirements
- 7+ Years of experience across multiple supply chain and operations functions.
- Experience in the management of projects such as: Distribution Network Redesign (RTM), High Performance Logistics, Customer Logistics, Distribution Costing and Finance
- Ability to lead teams, be a catalyst of change and influence teams cross functionally to deliver business results.
- Relevant operational experience at a business level, in the following areas is beneficial: DSP, Co-Manufacturing, Procurement, Global / Domestic Transport, Warehouse Operations
