The role is for a senior manager and will be supporting client delivery as well as the development and growth of our Legal Operations and Transformation Services (LOTS) practice.
Description of the role:
Highly experienced consultant with detailed knowledge of legal operating models
An understanding and experience working with legal technology vendors
Ability to lead large scale, complex global transformations
Lead the end-to-end proposal response mechanism from RFIs and RFPs to the preparation and presentation of final decks
Support with the strategic direction and focus of the LOTS practice
Provide subject matter expertise and industry insights to our clients undergoing legal transformation
Identifying client needs and proposing solutions to them
Maintaining a consistently high and leading edge market profileSupport and oversee the development of go-to-market strategies, collateral, methodologies and alliance partner relationships
The role will report directly into the head of Legal Operations and Transformation Services. The primary objective will be in delivering complex projects to our multinational clients and to support during the sales process.
As the team and business grows, the candidate will be expected to have a leadership role and take on responsibilities to support the development of people and culture within the team, ensuring continuous development and support for their direct reports.
The candidate will also be expected to take on responsibilities related to business development, marketing and communications, headcount, resource and revenue planning and forecasting to feed in to the wider LOTS business.
Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:
Candidates will be expected to have a strong track record at engaging with stakeholders across all seniorities across multiple sectors and industries. Experience and success in persuasively engaging the C Suite of clients is essential. Candidates will need to manage both internal and external stakeholders self-sufficiently as part of on-going engagements and through business and strategic development.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
This role will assist in the growth and development of the LOTS practice, and Legal Services as a whole by extension.
The successful candidate will help with the strategic direction, growth and development of the practice and service offerings in LOTS. The candidate will be responsible for governing and overseeing the risk and quality of the work performed by their team and those supporting on their engagements.
Subject Matter Expert related to the development of legal target operating models, RACIs, Sourcing strategies, Service Catalogues and technology options
Well versed in the challenges facing and solutions available to legal functions (e.g. spend and bandwidth management, matter management, contract -----lifecycle management, cost reduction, workforce agility and evolving service models)
Must have some experience working within an in-house legal function but do not necessarily need to be legally qualified
Desirable
Experience engaging with other support office functions such as HR, Finance and procurement
Experience with technology solutions and digitisation programmes and initiatives
Experience working across multiple sectors and industries
Expertise / Technical role requirements
Extensive experience
A project management qualification would be desirable but not essential
A qualification such as being lean Six Sigma certified would be desirable but not essential
