Greenpeace International (GPI) is looking for an Operations Coordinator to facilitate the development and execution of all operational processes within the Operations pillar of the GPI Programme Department, efficiently supporting the implementation of the Global Programme. Working closely with the Head of Operations and relevant teams, you will facilitate internal communication, maintain internal networks, and provide administrative, financial, logistical, and project management assistance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the Operations teams. This role is crucial in enhancing the Greenpeace network's performance, cohesion, and alignment from a programme perspective.
The Greenpeace International Programme Department provides vision, strategic direction, steer, and support to the global Greenpeace network in the development and delivery of an ambitious and impactful Global Programme, with a dedicated focus on impact-critical National and Regional Greenpeace Organisations (NROs). The Operations teams within the International Programme Department provide advice, inspiration, guidance, oversight, and support in the areas of actions, investigations, mapping, security, and maritime operations.
In this role you will:
Coordinate and support all operational processes within the Operations pillar of the Programme Department to ensure the effective delivery of the Global Programme.
Provide administrative, logistical, financial and project management assistance in collaboration with the Head of Operations and relevant teams.
Support Head of Operations with budget forecasting and management in coordination with Programme Department Resource Strategists and Finance teams.
Manage contractual relationships with freelancers and suppliers.
Facilitate communication, coordination, and decision-making between the Operations Management Team, broader Operations pillar, and other internal stakeholders.
Design and facilitate Operations meetings, both virtual and in-person.
Manage or support cross-functional projects and department-wide initiatives, including the annual Global Operations Meeting.
Maintain internal knowledge-sharing platforms and communication tools for the Operations teams.
Lead or support the development of tools, materials, and guidance documents that enhance operational collaboration across the Greenpeace network.
Serve as a point of contact for Finance and HR (People & Culture) to ensure Operations staffing and budget processes are running smoothly.
Coordinate Operations-wide inputs from specialised communities for reporting, planning, and evaluation purposes.
