Role Summary
The Corporate Development Intern at Bullhorn will partner with Corporate Development leadership to help develop and deliver nurturing strategies for Bullhorn’s ecosystem of potential acquisition targets. This role involves conducting in-depth market research within the staffing and recruitment technology landscape, developing targeted communication strategies, and meticulously tracking engagement with key companies. The intern will gain valuable, hands-on experience in the strategic nurturing of prospective deals within the dynamic technology sector.
The right candidate will also get mentorship from Corporate Development leadership, exposure to other facets of the function and broader business.
Responsibilities
Target Nurturing
Develop and implement tailored engagement strategies for identified potential acquisition targets within the staffing and recruitment ecosystem.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all interactions and engagement progress for each target within our CRM system.
Create compelling and tailored communication materials, highlighting strategic alignment and potential synergies with Bullhorn.
Collaborate closely with the corporate development team to develop and refine long-term engagement plans for priority targets and tee up meetings.
Proactively monitor target company news, product developments, and market activities to inform and adapt nurturing strategies.
Market Research
Conduct thorough market research focused on the staffing and recruitment technology industry to deepen our understanding of existing targets and emerging players.
Analyze target company financials, product roadmaps, strategic initiatives, and competitive positioning within the Bullhorn ecosystem.
Prepare concise and insightful reports and presentations summarizing research findings to inform engagement strategies and internal stakeholders, with an opportunity to present findings to broader leadership teams.
Identify companies that could be a better target for Bullhorn’s corporate venture arm, Bullhorn Ventures
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a strong interest in the technology sector, ideally within SaaS or the staffing industry.
Strong research, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with a professional and proactive approach to communication.
Proficiency with Google Suite; experience with CRM platforms is a plus.
Demonstrated interest in corporate development, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and strategic partnerships within the technology industry.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
