This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic market development roadmaps, supported by target segment identification, go-to-market strategies, account identification and development, marketing and pricing strategies, and product development to profitably grow revenue for the products and services in the Chemicals vertical market. This position is global in scope and will cover all product lines relevant to Sundyne’s growth in the Chemicals market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver the strategy for growth for Sundyne in Chemicals markets by understanding the influencing factors, including but not limited to key market sub-segments, key processes and product applications, growth trends, customer drivers (buying needs), industry and competitive analysis, environmental conditions, governmental requirements, technologies and capabilities. Implement the strategy through collaboration with Product Line Managers (PLMs), Business Development Managers (BDMs), and the Regional Sales Managers (RSMs).
Work with the PLMs to support the management of the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning, ownership of pricing strategy, competitive analysis, order forecasting, financial projections and business case development as it relates to the Chemicals market.
Identify new product or product improvement opportunities to maximize market share within Chemicals markets. Support PLMs in driving new product development by supporting the business case with market input, including identification of product specifications, design targets, product life cycle plans, and proforma financials.
Ensure the roll out and adoption of new products and features is successful within the business unit, the commercial (sales) teams and Channel Partners. A key part of this is the generation and provision of training material.
Provide frequent and pertinent communication about related projects, product performance, roadmap updates and other efforts.
Coordinate with Sales organization to ensure strategic and tactical objectives for the products are achieved within the assigned markets.
Work with Business Development Managers to identify target accounts (EPCs, technology licensors, OEMs, and owner/operators) for account penetration focus.
Work with Business Development Mangers to identify target capital projects to pursue for high-quality sales funnel building (outbound lead generation).
Work with Regional and Area Sales Managers to analyze product opportunities in funnel and support with market-based (top-down) sales enablement tools and education.
Actively influences site and group leadership to gain alignment as well as gain access to appropriate resources to actively support Chemicals vertical growth targets.
Effectively mediate collaboration across multiple groups for optimal growth initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Market Development, Product Management, Consulting (internal or external), or related fields
Knowledge of centrifugal pump technology and market applications is beneficial.
Solution driven with the willingness and ability to implement innovative ideas and improve working methodologies. Able to breakdown complex issues into simple components and build/implement required action plans.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Ability to actively manage competing priorities and proven record to meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to successfully work in a team environment.
Credible self-starter and self-motivator.
