We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Account Director to join our Distribution Employee Benefit Consultant (EBC) Team.
The Account Director serves as the primary liaison between Aegon and a panel of key workplace advisers and employee benefit consultancies. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with senior management and key stakeholders across these accounts.
The Account Director is responsible for meeting financial objectives, identifying and securing new business opportunities, and demonstrating a deep understanding of complex client needs to consistently exceed performance targets.
In addition to managing strategic relationships, the Account Director leads provider selection processes, including tenders, site visits and beauty parades. They work closely with the Workplace Solutions management team to enhance Aegon’s panel presence and distribution reach.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead Aegon’s relationships with senior personnel at key accounts.
Manage relationships with accounts to align with adviser needs and expectations.
Develop and implement strategic account plans to strengthen relationships and drive growth.
Take ownership of senior-level relationships to uncover and secure new business.
Create and execute plans focused on expanding new business opportunities.
Align Aegon’s solutions with the evolving strategies of adviser firms.
Maintain strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers.
Drive initiatives to secure and retain panel positions through tailored engagement.
Anticipate changes in adviser strategy to position Aegon competitively.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
In depth knowledge of the UK corporate benefits landscape.
A strong network of established relationships with benefit consultants, corporate advisers and trustees.
Proven ability to deliver high impact presentations and pitches within the workplace market.
Excellent relationship management skills, with a focus on building long term partnerships.
Solid understanding of the processes involved in bringing financial or marketing promotions to market.
Demonstrated experience managing complex requirements for large corporate clients.
