We are looking for a skilled WebSphere Application Server Specialist to help improve system performance and ensure smooth operations in a dynamic environment.

We are looking for an experienced WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Specialist to join our team in Vienna. If you thrive in complex enterprise environments and enjoy being the go-to expert bridging development and operations, this role is for you. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing critical infrastructure, resolving complex issues, and driving the stability of WebSphere-based systems.

Job Description
  • Install, maintain, and configure WebSphere Liberty 
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune the application server (Java Heap, Garbage Collection, Threads, Pools) 
  • Act as an interface between Java development and WAS/DB2 for z/OS, as well as network teams (central and decentralized) 
  • Implement, execute, and automate operational, deployment, and testing processes 
  • Deploy, configure, and manage applications, including handover to operations and support teams 
  • Apply and configure middleware and related software 
  • Assist in building infrastructure solutions 
  • Manage the security lifecycle: roles, permissions, certificates, and SSL

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in middleware environments

  • Experience with WebSphere Liberty 
  • Strong knowledge of LDAP 
  • Solid experience in Linux/UNIX environments 
  • Familiarity with high availability (24x7) application server and messaging systems
