Job Summary
This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and evaluating training programs that align with strategic business goals. It requires strong collaboration with leaders, key parties, HR Business Partners, and subject matter experts to ensure learning solutions address real business needs. The role also facilitates in-person, virtual, and hybrid leadership and team sessions, provides consultative support for talent management and succession planning, and champions the annual training calendar across One Cineplex.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Design
- Conducts and validates needs analyses to identify learning gaps and recommend tailored learning solutions aligned with business objectives and Cineplex culture.
- Designs and develops scalable learning programs, including eLearning, virtual and in-person sessions, blended learning, and social/collaborative experiences.
- Develops learning materials such as facilitator and participant guides, job aids, multimedia content, and assessments.
- Integrates web-based technologies and adult learning best practices to deliver engaging, effective training experiences.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in instructional design, providing consultative input and project support across L&D initiatives.
- Responds to inquiries from the internal learning support inbox, offering timely and professional assistance.
Training Facilitation & Promotion
- Delivers in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions aligned with the leadership and team development curriculum.
- Partners with HRBPs and business leaders to support training reinforcement and accountability across all functions.
- Monitors training engagement and learning plan completion, sharing insights to drive participation and application.
- Promotes the learning calendar and encourages organization-wide engagement through creative and consistent communication.
- Reviews assignments and follows up with participants on sustainment activities.
Measurement and Reporting
- Establishes and tracks success metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and learning outcomes.
- Designs learning solutions with built-in success criteria, aligned to business KPIs.
- Partners with HR and Leaders to monitor, report, and consult on program impact, engagement, and adoption.
- Manages training data and learning records through the Learning Management System (LMS).
Project Management Tracking, Measurement and Administration
- Applies project management principles to ensure learning initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope.
- Maintains consistent communication and progress tracking for key L&D projects.
- Partners with L&D colleagues to monitor program rollouts and report on impact.
Program Maintenance:
- Collaborates with SMEs across all departments to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and compliant with regulations.
- Maintains course content and LMS records to reflect organizational and cultural shifts.
- Identifies and implements opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance learning effectiveness and learner experience.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
- Adult learning or instructional design certification preferred
Experience
- 1-3 years’ relevant Human Resources experience with a focus on relationship management, project management, and training delivery
- Learning management, and course authoring system experience and/or administration preferred

- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
- Sound judgment and the ability to influence and partner effectively across all levels of the organization.
- A hands-on, service-oriented approach with a strong commitment to learner experience and support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate and present with clarity and confidence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; adept at resolving conflicts and navigating ambiguity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and course authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise) is a strong asset.
- Experience working with virtual facilitation tools (e.g., MS Teams, Adobe Connect).
- Comfort with data-driven evaluation of learning outcomes.
