We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our client, a leading Industrial Automation company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial automation solutions. The Technical Support Engineer will work closely with customers, internal teams, and external partners to resolve technical issues, provide training, and contribute to the overall success of our products.
Responsibilities:
Customer Support:
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing technical support via phone, email, or on-site visits.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to industrial automation products and systems.
Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide effective solutions.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Analyze and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Work closely with the engineering team to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
Document customer interactions, technical solutions, and product feedback.
Training and Education:
Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams on the use and maintenance of industrial automation products.
Stay updated on product features, upgrades, and industry trends to provide accurate and relevant information.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Product Development, to ensure customer satisfaction and product improvement.
Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer experiences and needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in technical support, preferably in the industrial automation sector.
Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and related technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to travel for on-site support as needed.
