WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In close partnership with other Facktor team members, the Director will support the scoping, implementation, and delivery of projects that are high-profile, technical, and grounded in best practice operational outcomes to clients in community healthcare. This position requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record of success in healthcare operations management, and experience with leading teams, and team development.


The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, including FQHC experience, and managerial acumen to drive organizational growth and achieve operational excellence and should be able to work independently, managing tasks with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be expected to effectively document and present complex information to both internal teams and clients. You will be expected to proactively contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, from start to finish, ensuring seamless integration into client operations and delivering strategic and operational success. Additionally, you will support Facktor’s own product development, client relationship building, and business strategy as needed.

Decision Making: Responsible for decision-making with direct reports and project assignments, in collaboration with their supervisor.

Business Development: Thinks creatively about growth strategies, skillfully promotes services to clients, Able to conduct presentations at conferences promoting service lines, and proactively identifies supplemental consulting opportunities across divisions.

Expertise: Extensive expertise in their field, often considered a thought leader within the organization, able to step into interim Director or C-suite roles.

Client Relations:  Establishes and maintains client relationships in good standing. Has the trust and respect of clients. Able to facilitate client meetings independently and think strategically about addressing client needs with minimal support.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead interim COO engagements, serving as the acting COO for client organizations.
  • Provide hands-on operational leadership, partner with executive teams and stakeholders, and drive execution on organizational priorities to ensure continuity, stability, and progress.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to client organizations on operational strategy, best practice, and methodology. 
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Experience with core FQHC operational and administrative functions including: front office & registration, back-office and nursing, referrals, health information technology, information systems & outpatient software systems (preferred candidates will have experience with Epic, athenaOne, eClinicalWorks, and/or NextGen)
  • Experience working with C-suite & other senior healthcare leaders to achieve strategic goals. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

As a senior consultant you will fulfill the following responsibilities for a client in an interim or in a project-based capacity:

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance quality of care, patient safety, and clinical outcomes through process improvement and evidence-based practices.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.


WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, preferably within an FQHC or similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic operational initiatives, and performance improvement projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of driving results, managing change, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems, healthcare informatics, and data analytics preferred.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, independent decision-making, and ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • This role requires the flexibility to work EST, CST and PST.
  • Ability to work an average of 48 hours a week

LOCATION: Facktor supports a remote office environment. Ideally located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

SCHEDULE: Full-Time


SALARY RANGE: $150,000-$200,000
