Description

The Implementation Project Manager (IPM) has primary responsibility for the onboarding success of new clients, along with existing clients who add new services. The IPM will develop, execute and manage implementation plans including needs assessment, timelines, resource assignment, and client relationships. The IPM must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding the project status, issues, risk management, and achievement of deadlines. The IPM plays an integral role in the success of the project from close of sale to installation of OP to go-live. The IPM will monitor the client progress report, conduct weekly readiness assessments with the client pre go-live, and continue weekly progress meetings post go-live. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful EHR implementations and outstanding customer service skills.


Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages project plans and checklists.
  • Works in conjunction with Implementation Specialist, Data Conversion, Interface Analyst, Training Specialists, and Reports Developer to ensure deadlines are met and milestones are achieved.
  • Works with the Training Specialist to develop timelines and coordinate weekly client meetings, individual training, remote and onsite support.
  • In conjunction with the Training Manager, plans and coordinates Super User training and onsite go-lives.
  • Identifies issues which may impact success of project and makes recommendations as needed for additional training and/or onsite.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for Physician offices during the implementation and post go-live.
  • Holds weekly meetings to monitor practice progress utilizing the Readiness Checklists and manages the Action Plan which logs issues, assignment, resolution, status and risk to project success and acts as a product resource for the client.
  • Provides project status updates to OP leadership.
  • Reviews and updates CRM regularly for project status visibility companywide.

    • Extensive knowledge of OP, both Billing and EHR, preferred.
  • Medical industry product implementation/project management experience.

    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders with varied levels of exposure to EHR software application implementation.
  • Ability to take ownership of a project working independently as well as work collaboratively.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to successfully balance multiple priorities and projects in a deadline driven environment.

Education / Professional Certifications or Licenses Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school or university
  • PMP or other project management certification is desirable. 

Experience Requirements: 

  • 2 years prior experience in project management.
  • 5 years prior experience in healthcare administration, Medical Office Management or related discipline. 
  • 3-5 years prior experience with an electronic medical record system is preferred.

Work Environment / Physical demands/ Travel Requirements:

  • Computer and telephone required to perform duties. 
  • Lifting requirements of no more than five pounds.  
  • Travel to Client Sites as needed (not to exceed 25%).

Salary Description
$65,000 - $72,000 per year
