About the Role

This work extends beyond traditional campaigns and is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of brand integrity and marketing effectiveness. As a Senior Brand Marketing Manager at HubSpot, you'll be the strategic bridge between our brand standards and business results, ensuring that our brand shows up consistently across above-the-line touchpoints. You'll shape how our brand evolves in the AI-powered marketing landscape while empowering teams across the organization to create assets that perform and protect our brand.

In this role, you'll:
  • Bridge Brand and Performance: Make strategic recommendations that drive greater alignment between upper-funnel brand campaigns and conversion-focused marketing to ensure a seamless customer journey. This includes activities like:
    • Identifying opportunities to connect direct response advertising with brand awareness campaigns
    • Developing sequencing strategies for a cohesive customer journey from awareness to conversion
    • Ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all funnel stages
  • Drive Performance Creative Strategy: Develop strategy and provide creative direction for mid-funnel and direct response advertising that increases consideration and conversions (demos, signups, leads). This includes activities like:
    • Creating strategic briefs for larger, more complex direct response assets
    • Serving as liaison between creative and DR teams to ensure creative is balancing brand standards with performance goals
    • Reviewing AI-generated creative before launch, and developing and maintaining brand guidelines serving as resources for AI tools
    • Recommending optimizations to improve conversion metrics while maintaining brand consistency
  • Lead Brand Governance: Develop and implement brand governance processes to ensure consistent brand application across ATL touchpoints. This includes activities like:
    • Managing trademark requests and co-brand applications with Legal and Procurement, and overseeing the application of brand guidelines
    • Reviewing ad-hoc paid assets from cross-functional teams promoting content, events, and more
    • Developing centralized workflows for all assets that need brand review, creating streamlined processes for creative review
  • Enable and Consult Across Teams: Develop guidelines, training, and resources to help marketing teams create assets that align with brand standards. This includes activities like:
    • Implementing an annual brand learning agenda with engaging materials and workshops
    • Gathering feedback to measure employee understanding of brand guidelines and address knowledge gaps
    • Helping social teams translate paid campaigns into organic channels and vice versa
    • Onboarding creator partners on brand alignment and review for brand safety
    • Supporting regional teams with localized brand toolkits for field marketing events
    • Providing expert guidance to teams requiring regular brand support
We are looking for people who:
  • Have 7+ years of experience as an individual contributor in brand management
  • Have experience developing campaign strategy and creative that increases consideration and conversions
  • Have a deep understanding of performance marketing metrics and how videos and images can better influence conversion
  • Have experience creating brand guidelines and governance processes, including trainings, briefing partners, and reviewing work to ensure brand consistency
  • Excel at cross-functional collaborationConsistently deliver results 
  • Have experience working with external vendors and agency partners
  • Have strong project management skills and can effectively prioritize multiple initiatives
  • Are naturally curious with excellent communication skills and can articulate complex ideas clearly
  • Can provide constructive creative feedback that is clear, empowering, and empathetic
  • Can fly high and low -- with an ability to think strategically but execute tactically when needed

Cash compensation range: 92000-138000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
