THE ROLE:

The Sales Operations Manager will work alongside sales representatives and other stakeholders to support the day-to-day operational management for key customers (Regional Grocery & DSD) which includes and is not limited to new customer onboarding, item setup, creative requests, demo coordination, supporting with third party platforms, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and implement new sales and customer-related processes.
  • Support the field sales team with general administrative tasks that support the daily and long term business needs.
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external partners and customers through weekly operations calls and as needed meetings to ensure high level of customer service is maintained.
  • Drive tactical planning throughout all departments (supply chain, shopper marketing) of the organization closest to the customer. 
  • Responsible for managing and updating third party platforms to manage product portfolio internally and for external partners.
  • Increase sales productivity by simplifying processes and implementing sales automation tools: ex: contract management, content enablement software, etc. 
  • Provide consistent feedback for constant process improvement in the sales organization to scale with business growth.
  • Partner with internal teams during onboarding process, ensuring legal compliance and system setup (Netsuite).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-7 years of proven experience in sales operations, business analysis, or sales support management.
  • Demonstrated experience onboarding new distributors  (UNFI, KeHE Preferred), and managing project and scope.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with supply chain, operations to identify creative solutions for shipping, logistics. 
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail, however not to the point of being inflexible.
  • Ownership experience in end-to-end process of tracing the sales process and conversation rates throughout the sales funnel.
  • Program and project management capabilities. 
  • The ability to produce accurate work quickly & efficiently, and with excellent follow-up communication
  • Agile in determining and managing priorities, and adaptable in a fluid and fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication

  • 15% estimated travel. 

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales Operations 

COMPENSATION: $90,000-$100,000 base salary + bonus
