Sr. Manager Data Engineering

In this role, you will be a visionary, role model, mentor, and evangelist. You will help coach and strengthen the technical expertise of our engineering and product community, while solving complex business problems in. fast-paces collaborative, inclusive and iterative delivery environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and teams of DBAs and Data Engineers.

• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering organization, and participate in or evaluate the delivery of engineered solutions.

• Collaborate with product managers and deliver robust cloud solutions that drive amazing experience that help our customers achieve their goals.

• Utilize programming languages like Python, PySpark, NoSQL databases, Data Warehouses and a variety of AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 6 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering utilizing languages such as Scala, Python, C# and/or Java

• At least 3 years of experience driving solution architecture

• At least 3 years of experience with public cloud technologies, preferably AWS

• At least 4 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters’ Degree

• 9+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering or solution architecture

• 5+ years of experience designing and building enterprise platform solutions.

• 5+ years of experience with Agile software development

• 3+ years of experience with AWS

• 2+ years of experience defining software design, architecture, and engineering practices.

• AWS Certifications
