Our hands-on training environment will give you the opportunity to learn the functions and responsibilities of the Operations, Finance, and Accounting areas that contributes to the success of the business. Our trainees also receive both classroom and mentor-supported training throughout the program to prepare them for the future.


Our Leadership Development Program is designed to recruit and train recent college graduates leading them to a permanent Senior Analyst position or equivalent at the end of the 24-month training program. Training begins on July 14th, 2025, for 2 weeks at the Copart Corporate Headquarters located in Dallas, Texas. Upon successful completion of the 2-week class, the training will continue for the remainder of the 24-month program period. Training will take place at both our corporate and local field offices. Candidates will attend a mandatory mid-year course for approximately 1 week at the Copart Corporate office to evaluate their progression through the program.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Provide financial and analytical support for senior leadership and various business unit leaders across the enterprise.
  • Support the Corporate Development team and business stakeholders in all acquisition activities.
  • Proactively review and monitor business performance and provide meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Develop financial forecasts with full integration of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Monitor business-driven, quantifiable key performance indicators.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of business unit level operational reporting and forecasting.
  • Accurate and timely ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead and support special projects across various finance and accounting functions, ensuring timely completion and actionable insights.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers of Copart, ensuring elevated levels of satisfaction.
  • Provide Catastrophe support (storm related support) by traveling to affected areas to work with the local operations team.


Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration with a focus in Finance. (MBA a strong plus)
  • Graduation date within the past two years preferred.
  • Proactive self-starter capable of adapting to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively and confidently with all levels of management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of urgency.
  • Ability to organize and manage large data sets and apply strong analytical skills to resolve complex problems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skillset with a focus on financial model development.
  • Experience with industry-leading ERP/Financial tools like OneStream, Workday, Workiva, FloQast, or similar (a strong plus).
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
