We are seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Director to lead our preschool's educational programs. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with a history in early childhood education. You will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality, research-based curriculum that meets the needs of young children and aligns with state standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of teachers and staff to excel in their roles and provide outstanding education and care to children.
  • Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, budget management, and maintenance of the facility to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with families, ensuring open communication and involvement in their children's education.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to early childhood education.
  • Continuously assess and improve the program's effectiveness, implementing changes as needed to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and stay abreast of the latest research and trends in early childhood education.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • NYS Teaching Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of child development, early childhood education best practices, and curriculum development.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and engage with families.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets, scheduling, and operational aspects of a preschool.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to commute to the work address at 600 6th Ave. New York, NY 10011


Compensation:

  • $90,000 - 100,000 per year
