We are seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Director to lead our preschool's educational programs. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with a history in early childhood education. You will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a high-quality, research-based curriculum that meets the needs of young children and aligns with state standards.
Lead, motivate, and support a team of teachers and staff to excel in their roles and provide outstanding education and care to children.
Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, budget management, and maintenance of the facility to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Establish and maintain relationships with families, ensuring open communication and involvement in their children's education.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to early childhood education.
Continuously assess and improve the program's effectiveness, implementing changes as needed to enhance educational outcomes.
Participate in professional development opportunities and stay abreast of the latest research and trends in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
NYS Teaching Certification
Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or administrative role.
Strong understanding of child development, early childhood education best practices, and curriculum development.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and engage with families.
Proficiency in managing budgets, scheduling, and operational aspects of a preschool.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Ability to commute to the work address at 600 6th Ave. New York, NY 10011
Compensation:
$90,000 - 100,000 per year
