The Senior Director, North America Channel Sales Leader will be responsible for managing and growing revenue for the North America Consumer Business. This person will lead the North America Channel Sales team and be responsible for developing and executing regional strategy for driving the sale of Qualcomm compute products into retail. Consumer Compute Retail Background in North America Required. Global Experience Preferred. Responsibilities The successful candidate will build and manage regional relationships with all retailers across North America. He or she will interface with category planning, segment leaders, and operation teams in the regions to sell Qualcomm Snapdragon compute products. The candidate will work closely with the technical and product teams in Qualcomm headquarters as well as teams in the regions. Key responsibilities include introducing and selling to PC retailers and gaining regional assortment across North America. This candidate will work cross functionally with the Compute Business Unit, Marketing, Finance, PC OEMs, and ecosystem partners. Skills/Experience 13+ years of sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of consumer distributors, Retailers, OEM, and OS Partners. 8+ Years People Management Required. Well established relationships North America Retail & Distribution Partners, PC OEMs, and OS Partners. Strategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers. Experience in sell-through, sell-out, and go-to-market with consumer distributors, PC OEM regions and channel partners in North America. Global preferred. Deep knowledge and experience in building complex financial models that create win-win situations for Qualcomm and our customers. Experience in design win and region sell-through partnerships with PC OEMs preferred, not required. Ability to identify emerging opportunities and proactively engage in pre-sales activity. Expert technical understanding and hands-on experience in PC technology including being first line of defense for technical and product issue. Proficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks, Chromebooks, and tablets. Experience in negotiating and managing sell in, sell out, MDF, demand gen and marketing programs with large consumer electronic distributors and retailers. Ability to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externally. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Creative problem solving with strong analytical skills. Self-motivated and result driven. Minimum Qualifications 13+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience. High school diploma. Preferred Qualifications 15+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experience in the PC industry. 10+ years in a leadership role.
