Job description

Nature and Scope

The Senior Manager, Specialty Injectables is responsible for leading and driving the development and implementation of the brand planning process and connection to tactical execution through close collaboration with commercial team members.  Specific responsibilities shall include marketing and promotion, sales, market access, and lifecycle management strategies and may evolve based on the needs of the brand.

  • Strategic Planning / Brand Positioning - Develop an annual Brand Plan to optimize brand profitability and lead execution against plans.
  • Market Research / Market Insights - Identify customer and market needs, trends, and competitor activity and work with key functional partners to develop shared understanding of brand insights and performance factors.
  • Cross functional collaboration - Work with sales, medical, regulatory, and compliance teams and mobilize the team to execute according to plan.
  • Product lifecycle management.
  • Lead the development and completion of executive reporting and forecasting.
  • Driving business performance through effective cross-functional team dynamics and collaborative initiatives.
  • Development and leadership of key promotional activities including brand planning, development and oversight of promotional campaigns, including Personal Promotion & Non-Personal Promotion to HCPs and Patients.
  • Develop strategy with an enterprise mindset by leveraging and sharing best practices across the organization.
  • Efficient use of resources including management of vendors, negotiation for services both internally and externally, and monitoring of budgets.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years in pharmaceutical brand marketing and/or sales as well as experience with injectable drugs particularly in the buy and bill space required. Experience with 505b2s is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in supervisory/management experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel: Pivot Tables and Charts, PowerPoint: Structure, Build, Deliver).
  • Understanding of profit and loss, net present value calculations.
  • Data visualization and interactive dashboard development.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Travel Required: Approximately 25% of the time.

Expected Salary Range:

$142,000-160,000

The salary range, is the  minimum and maximum annual salary range of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role.  Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
