DUTIES:

• Design data structure using understanding of BI and reporting requirements that the warehouse will support.
• Develop and test data warehouse and big data applications using ETL tool including Hadoop, Spark Job and Hive and Talend.
• Translate technical business goals and requirements into designs, utilizing best practice design patters.
• Work with data architects and other ETL Developers to assist with designing optimal data structures to support BI, reporting, dashboards and analytical datasets.
• Collaborate as an expert in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new BI applications, and enhancements to existing software applications.
• Provide architectural guidance, technology, and process improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with source system developers and data analysts to identify the relevant data to be included in the warehouse and in the big data environment.
• Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 4 years of relevant work experience.
• In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Conducting data warehouse design for big data environments; (2) Developing ETL jobs to extract data from various systems using ETL Tools including Informatica; (3) Planning, designing, developing, and deploying ETL applications, and maintaining existing applications; (4) Developing UNIX shell scripts to automate the processes and perform day-to-day activities; and (5) Creating and developing data models and preparing plans for all ETL jobs.

WORK HOURS:         Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]

PAY RANGE:             $152,834.52 to $158,100.00 per year
