Qualifications:

Experience: • Credentialing experience in a health plan or a hospital medical staff services department preferred but not required. • Database / Data entry experience required. Certification or Conditions of Employment: • Pre-employment background check Competencies, Skills, and Attributes: • Strong oral and written communication skills • Accurate, detail oriented. • Flexible and able to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. • A basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Excel Working Conditions and Physical Effort: • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position. • Ability to work OT during peak periods. • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. • No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

 

Responsibilities:

• Reviews sanction and exclusion sources to ensure that practitioners going through initial credentialing or recredentialing are not currently debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health care programs. • Responsible for updating credentialing information within Visual CACTUS and the Onyx provider database. • Supports special projects and completes other duties, as assigned. • May be responsible for managing internal provider data queues (e.g. Non-pars). • Responsible for reviewing and researching routine expirables reports (e.g. License, Board Certification).

 

Comments/Special Instructions

This position will be remote. The candidate is required to have their own computer and internet connection.
