A day in the life.
As the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for overseeing cloud operations, IT services, FinOps, infrastructure maintenance and support, and patch management. In this role, you will ensure that our IT infrastructure is robust, efficient, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
You will lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure initiatives, with a strong emphasis on our journey to the cloud. By transitioning from traditional data centers to cloud-based solutions, you will help drive significant cost efficiencies, allowing us to allocate resources more effectively and reduce ongoing operational expenses.
Your leadership will be crucial in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration across departments to optimize cloud services and enhance infrastructure performance. You will develop and implement strategies that not only enhance the management of IT infrastructure but also focus on maximizing cost savings and operational efficiency.
Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will define objectives, scope, and deliverables for infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities. In addition to monitoring performance metrics and managing resources, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that cloud services and infrastructure support are executed smoothly and effectively. You will also play a key role in patch management and maintenance, ensuring that systems are secure and up-to-date.
Mentoring and empowering your team will be essential, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT infrastructure group. Staying informed on industry trends and best practices, you will evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies to enhance our IT infrastructure capabilities and drive strategic growth.

• Infrastructure Leadership: Proven experience leading IT infrastructure teams, with a strong emphasis on successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects and cloud operations. Your ability to guide teams through the transition from traditional data centers to cloud-based environments will be critical in realizing our cost-saving objectives.
• Infrastructure Management Methodologies: Strong knowledge of infrastructure management methodologies (e.g., ITIL, Agile) and best practices to ensure effective service delivery and operational excellence. Familiarity with cloud-specific frameworks will enhance our ability to streamline operations and reduce costs associated with legacy systems.
• Multi-Project Management: Ability to manage multiple IT infrastructure projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and adherence to timelines. Your expertise in overseeing cloud migration initiatives will be essential in achieving operational efficiencies and maximizing budget utilization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Experience in collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex infrastructure concepts and project requirements. Your role will involve advocating for the financial benefits of cloud adoption, helping stakeholders understand if and how moving away from data centers can lead to significant cost reductions.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving organizational change and improvement through effective IT infrastructure management. Your ability to assess current infrastructure costs and identify opportunities for savings through cloud solutions will be important.
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, mentorship, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams to achieve infrastructure goals.
• Financial Management: Proven ability to manage yearly budgets for IT infrastructure initiatives, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively to support project objectives and operational needs. A focus on cost efficiency will be paramount as we shift away from data centers, allowing for reinvestment in innovative technologies.
• Change Management Expertise: Experience in leading change management initiatives within IT infrastructure, ensuring stakeholder engagement and smooth transitions during project implementations. Your skills in managing the cultural and operational shifts associated with cloud migration will be essential for successful adoption.
• Operational Efficiency Focus: A commitment to enhancing operational efficiency through the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement methodologies in IT infrastructure management. Your focus on leveraging cloud technologies to eliminate inefficiencies tied to data center operations will help us achieve our financial and operational goals.
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on leadership roles.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., FinOps certified practitioner, ITIL infrastructure and maintenance, certifications related to cloud operations and services, PMP, Agile certifications).
