Job description

The Work: We are looking for someone who loves getting their hands dirty with all aspects of code development, wearing multiple development hats whenever possible. The work includes the maintenance and organization of massive datasets, collaboration with various partners, and dynamic requirements.

Job Location: Remote within the US

Team core work hours are 11am - 4pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on your time zone.

What You Will Do:

We are seeking a versatile and adaptable software engineer to design and implement reliable, scalable back-end software solutions. In this role, you will contribute to automated test suites, support fellow engineers, participate in code reviews, and provide on-call support.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across a range of technologies and responsibilities, including Java development, SQL database work, AWS configuration, Python scripting, and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform.

What You Will Bring With You:

  • A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or a closely related field)
    OR successful completion of a programming boot camp of at least six (6) weeks in duration plus a minimum of one (1) year of relevant industry experience;
    OR a minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience with Java, SQL, AWS, python, and terraform, in order of priority.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years

You may be required to participate in periodic drug testing and background checks per government customer’s needs.

Travel for a conference or to another ICF location for collaboration may be required once a year.

This position requires that the job be performed in the United States.  If you accept this position, note that ICF monitors employee work locations, blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and prohibits personal VPN connections.

What We Would Like You to Bring With You:

  • Experience working with Snowflake.
  • Experience working on a project using the Agile or Scaled Agile Frameworks.
  • Experience on a software development team building modern software products.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$81,094.00 - $137,860.00
