Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing PR & Marketing agency specialising in the Travel Industry, with a strong presence in both the UK and Europe. The primary focus of this role is to drive new business opportunities, secure tourism clients, and represent the company professionally to travel trade partners and tourism offices. You will be instrumental in expanding the company’s portfolio, building strong industry relationships, and increasing brand awareness across key markets.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business development within the travel and tourism sector.

  • Secure individual PR & Marketing projects and long-term Tourism office contracts.

  • Build awareness and maintain strong industry relationships.

  • Identify and pursue new revenue streams across UK & European travel trade.

  • Manage the full sourcing process: from new contacts to RFP submissions.

  • Create and present high-standard RFP proposals.

  • Analyse revenue data and market conditions, providing detailed reports.

  • Prepare regular sales activity reports and industry pricing analysis.

  • Monitor competitor activity and report findings to Management.

  • Support the Management team in marketing and sales-related functions.



Requirements

Education:

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Strong numerical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in business development within the Travel & Tourism sector.

  • Proven success in securing international tourism contracts.

  • Knowledge of PR within the tourism market.

  • Established network of Tourism office contacts.

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to interpret tourism data and market insights.

Personal Qualities:

  • Self-motivated and proactive.

  • Able to work under pressure and manage workload independently.

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Flexible with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
