We are seeking a Sr. Product Owner to be accountable for the full end to end lifecycle of portfolio of products, specifically for new strategic clients including vision, charter, planning, requirements, stories, development, testing, integration (FA or partner systems), deployment, usage, adoption, client satisfaction and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
The Senior Product Owner is accountable for the full end-to-end lifecycle of portfolio of products, including setting and driving of the vision, charter, planning, requirements, development, testing, integration (FADV or partner systems), deployment, usage, adoption, client satisfaction and continuous improvement. 
This role is the facilitator and will drive productization, coordination across technical, operations and all applicable stakeholders. 
They will also maximize product reusability and repeatability & focus on revenue growth to enable new logo strategic client acquisitions, improved customer experience & teamwork. More specifically, the individual in this role will:
  • Maintain ownership of product planning, development, and lifecycle management, providing guidance and direction to cross-functional teams to execute against product milestones
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate business requirements, breaking them down into epics, themes, and features and creating actionable user stories with acceptance criteria for the design team to conceptualize and the development team to implement
  • Validate specifications with internal and external stakeholders to ensure they are consistent with articulated business requirements and deliver the expected results
  • Document new features and communicate functionality to end users
  • Actively measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve
  • Integrate performance metrics, usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
  • Demonstrate a willingness to experiment, iterate, innovate, and fail quickly
  • Collaborate with sales, customer success managers, solution experts, technical experts and partners across multiple functions and geographic locations to present and position current and future product offerings
  • Keep abreast of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and digital innovation within the marketplace
  
What You May Need to be Successful: 
  • Willingness to work onsite as needed in the office based in Mexico City (Calle Monte Elbruz 124, Polanco, Lomas de Chapultepec III Secc,  Miguel Hidalgo, 11560 CDMX)
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish & English (verbal and written), Portuguese a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Owner or a related role, preferably in a global or publicly traded organization, with practical experience in Agile methodologies. 
    • ​​​Background screening business in LATAM is a plus 
    • Knowledge of applicable regulations (data protection laws, labor limitations, etc.), private and public programs impacting background business (BASC, OEA, CTPT, etc.) is a plus or Nice To have 
    • Aware of government agencies that manage personal information relevant to the background screening process is a plus or Nice to have  
    • Proven product all operations experience in the LATAM region, (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, etc.) is a plus or nice to have 
  • Familiarity with product and software development tools, techniques, and Agile frameworks. 
  • Product Owner Certification (CSPO or Pragmatic Marketing) a plus
  • Customer focused and have a passion for user experience and working with people
  • Understands both the technical and business sides of the product and is ultimately responsible for representing the end user’s needs
  • Highly analytical with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications who is comfortable presenting to senior leadership and key clients
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, relationship building and negotiating skills
  • Track record in building and launching profitable products
  • Experience with day in the life client visits and synthesizing all market data into meaningful requirements in order to take the product to the next level
  • Proficiency in PPT and road mapping tools such as DevOps or JIRA
