About the Role

The PHP Developer will join a dynamic and multicultural team, reporting directly to the Lead PHP Developer based in Australia. In this role, the developer will collaborate closely with team members across different time zones, including those in Australia and the United States, to deliver top-tier digital experiences for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement features on Drupal CMS, Laravel, and WordPress.
Establish website architecture for high performance and availability.
Collaborate with front-end developers for effective implementations.
Maintain technical aspects of the CMS.
Ensure compliance with SEO best practices, web standards, and accessibility guidelines.
Participate in Agile web development and communicate technical ideas clearly.
Write and maintain PHP code, integrate third-party APIs, and debug as needed.

Experience & Software

7+ years of experience with PHP in web development projects.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Drupal, including: Drupal 7 and/or 8 configuration (themes, image handling, file structure, compression, etc.)
Familiarity with core Drupal modules: CTools, Views, Token, Pathauto, Entity API, Webforms, and Panels.
Experience building and maintaining custom Drupal modules.
Strong understanding of Drupal hooks and Form API.
Experience deploying and maintaining responsive Drupal websites.
5+ years of experience with AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
3–5 years of experience managing Agile sprints.
Proficient with Git and setting up version control environments.
Strong familiarity with MySQL and database modeling.
Demonstrated experience integrating third-party APIs.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Drus.
Familiarity with other CMS platforms like WordPress.
Experience with legacy versions of PHP (5.3–5.7).
Experience using LESS for CSS preprocessing.
Knowledge of web server configuration.
Understanding of SEO best practices.
Experience with Atlassian tools: Bamboo, BitBucket, Confluence, JIRA.
