Blue Altair is hiring a full time, temporary Finacial Analyst to support our client. In this role, you’ll play a key part in validating large financial data sets and troubleshooting data-related issues. You’ll become the go-to expert on data inconsistencies and challenges across multiple providers and work closely with the product manager to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with complex data, and driving meaningful improvements in data quality and reliability.

  • Own data reporting: Become an expert on monitoring and tracking what the biggest patterns and drivers of the data break “burndown” reporting numbers are. Escalate and present these numbers to the Product Manager.
  • Measuring, reporting and escalating File Delivery completeness-Working with the vendors on processing the exceptions which are coming in and confirming they’ve either provided an answer or a file for every single period which they need to provide.
  • Monitoring & prioritizing focus for Financial Ratio Completeness: Many key ratios are blank across many issuers. We need troubleshooting and investigation into why these ratios are blank or not tying out.
  • Troubleshooting Power BI Issues-Taking a first pass on why certain values or periods are missing from our Power BI instance
  • Triaging Issues with the Data Vendors: Navigating JIRA to ensure vendors are prioritizing the correct issues as needed
  • Re-testing Efforts-When vendor has provided a fix to an existing ticket, confirming whether the fix has been resolved.
  • Improving Automated Test Design-Provide suggestions for new automated test cases.

Requirements

  • Advanced (5+ years) Data Analysis Experience
  • Intermediate (3+ years) with Financial Concepts
  • Some (1+ year)  SQL Experience
  • Ability to work in a remote environment.

This position is fully remote, supporting our client in the Eastern Time Zone.
