Your Title: Team Lead, Insurance

You Report to: Manager, Servicing Operations

Your Location: Remote/ Anywhere in the US

Your compensation: Base salary of $60,000 or more plus a quarterly performance bonus, depending upon experience

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Team Lead, Insurance to oversee our growing Insurance team, with a focus on Total Loss Claims and Lienholder-Initiated Damage Claims. This role requires strong leadership, expertise in claims handling and auditing, and the ability to build effective relationships with third-party vendors. The successful candidate will ensure all claims are handled fairly, accurately, and efficiently while leading a high-performing, collaborative team.

What you will do:

 Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of claims associates, providing mentorship, training, and regular performance feedback.
  • Conduct team meetings to align goals and resolve challenges.
  • Foster a high-performance culture centered on quality, accountability, and client satisfaction.

Claims Oversight & Auditing

  • Review total loss and lienholder claims for compliance, fairness, and accuracy.
  • Develop and enhance efficient processes for claims review and resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze claims metrics; generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Investigations & Problem Resolution

  • Conduct in-depth investigations into complex or disputed claims by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal departments, and third-party vendors to achieve timely and satisfactory resolutions.

What you bring:

  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing automotive insurance claims, with expertise in auto damage assessment and total loss resolution.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Experience working remotely and managing responsibilities in a virtual environment.
  • Proven research and analytical skills with the ability to investigate beyond the immediate scope.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
