About the team
The Strategic Finance team is at the forefront of Zillow Group’s strategy, planning, and key initiatives, collaborating across the organization on high-visibility projects. As part of Zillow Rentals, you’ll help build a best-in-class marketplace that connects renters with property owners and managers, supporting a seamless end-to-end online experience. This is a high-growth, high-impact area with significant opportunities to drive outcomes and shape the future of Zillow’s Rentals business.

About the role

Zillow Group is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead Rentals Longtail (<25 units) for the Strategic Finance team! This team works closely with the business and runs the monthly forecasting, annual operating planning, strategic planning, and financial modeling for new business opportunities and growth initiatives. Working directly with the business leaders, you’ll spearhead the process for providing effective, comprehensive, and consistent analysis over the health and performance of the Rentals business. This highly visible role requires a personable, dedicated, and detail-oriented candidate with a consistent record of cultivating relationships across functions and levels. You must be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic and fun environment.

  • Collaborate closely with business and executive leaders to inform strategic decisions that balance immediate needs with long-term, sustainable growth.

  • Design and implement scalable financial frameworks that simplify and enhance monthly business reviews, forecasting, and annual planning.

  • Perform in-depth product analysis to distill and synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risk, drive product strategy and communicate key messages to executive leadership.

  • Translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for senior management, guiding strategic direction and optimal outcomes.

  • Orchestrate the development of long-range plans, encompassing strategic vision, resource allocation, projected timelines, and financial impacts.

  • Foster strong alignment between finance and business partners on critical processes, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Provide timely, data-driven insights through regular and ad-hoc reporting, highlighting key variances and emerging trends.

  • Develop a deep knowledge of Rentals Longtail go-to-market model, including various partner/channel motions, and translate this into operational and financial information to monitor the health of the business.
