Job description

This is a remote position.

STARTING JULY / AUGUST 2025 – We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced and dynamic sailing couple team to run this fabulous Oyster 825 as Captain/Engineer and Chef/Stew/Deck team. Destination: The World!

The yacht is joining the adventurous circumnavigating fleet of Oysters on the upcoming Oyster World Rally 2026 . This is a 27,000 nautical mile lap of the planet, set over 16 months passing through the world’s finest cruising grounds. It is organised exclusively for Oyster owners, and visits 25 destinations.

The group of four friends/owners are experienced sailors/racers so they will be very actively involved in the running and sailing of the yacht during passages and private cruises. For this reason, the professional crew team will remain as a core of two and the expectations of crew workload will fluctuate according to the demands of the program. For example; on passages the owners will be fully involved with the navigation, passage planning, watch and cooking rotas to ensure the yacht is sailed safely and all aboard are sufficiently rested.

Ideally the new crew will join in Europe this summer to get to know the yacht, her owners and prepare her for the transatlantic crossing and circumnavigation.

For a detailed crew brief and itinerary, please contact Charlie - crew@oysteryachts.com
