Description

Shee Atiká Enterprises, LLC (SAE) is seeking an Acquisition Specialist Lead to join their team for a project that is contingent upon award. The Acquisition Specialist Lead supports the Assistant Secretary–Indian Affairs by managing federal acquisition and financial assistance activities. This role ensures compliance with procurement regulations, provides expert guidance, and oversees contract lifecycle management. 


They will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Serve as the primary liaison with government program officials on acquisition matters.
  • Oversee contract execution, resource management, and contractor performance.
  • Provide acquisition support including source selection, contract administration, and closeout.
  • Conduct cost/price analysis and support budget development for procurements.
  • Assist in drafting statements of work, procurement strategies, and evaluation plans.
  • Lead negotiations and resolve complex contract issues and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and executive orders.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on complex procurement issues.
  • Coordinate long-term service contracts and manage high-impact procurement initiatives.
  • Support both pre-award and post-award contract functions, including assistance agreements.
Requirements
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Candidate must hold a Public Trust level clearance 
  • Candidate must have a bachelor's degree plus at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management; sufficient on-the-job experience supporting and managing government acquisition programs can be substituted for all or some of the above listed formal education.  
  • Candidate must have at least 20 years of government contracting experience, including at least 8 years of experience directly related to federal contracting and at least 1 year must be specialized experience equivalent to the federal government GS- 14 grade level. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solutions and recommendations across multiple projects and organizations, supporting strategic objectives and assessing industry trends and policies.
  • Expert knowledge of federal contracting laws, regulations, and procedures for both pre- and post-award processes, including complex acquisitions of equipment, services, and construction.
  • Proficient in various contract types and methods, with the ability to manage and monitor contractor performance on long-term, high-value contracts.
  • Strong understanding of business practices, market conditions, and technical requirements to evaluate proposals and ensure compliance.
  • Skilled in planning, executing, and administering contracts, including modifications, with attention to acquisition strategy and documentation integrity.
  • Capable of providing technical advice and performance evaluations to program offices.
  • Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills for presenting analyses and findings.
  • Experienced negotiator, adept at working with both private sector representatives and government officials.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to resolve complex acquisition issues and adapt standard procedures to streamline processes.
  • Works independently with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.

 

Work Environment

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by SAE.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Description
$155,000- $175,000
