Job description

JR286 is seeking a dynamic Strategic Account Sales Director to join our Dakine Equipment team in Torrance. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this role will create and lead a focused strategic account plan to expand Dakine Equipment’s retail distribution. Leveraging comprehensive Go-To-Market planning in support of the Dakine Equipment seasonal strategies, strong communication skills, focused product assortment planning, and time sensitive sales monitoring activities will drive retailer profitability.


What You’ll Do:

• Be responsible for driving Sales Strategy, Revenue, Merchandising, and Overall Performance for Dakine Equipment’s highest volume and strategic account base.

• Develop successful strategies to respond to high-volume customer opportunities to meet budget guidelines.

• Evaluate market needs, develop account strategies, and partner with Dakine Sales & Product Leadership Teams to meet seasonal sell in and sell through goals.

• Prepare and conduct best in class presentations.

• Identify and develop new account distribution opportunities while expanding business with current customers.

• Maintain client relations to build excellent reputation for service and produce repeat business year over year.

• Interact regularly with top accounts related to weekly selling, deliveries, and stock availability metrics.

• Engage and productively collaborate with key internal cross-function stakeholders.

• Travel and schedule advance working appointments in alignment with seasonal calendar.

• Other duties as assigned.

• An exceptional skill set as presenter of new products, brand positioning, and consumer targets.

• Powerful communication skills, excellence in retail math, and analytical problem solving.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Reporting Systems.

• Strong affinity toward outdoor / action sports communities


Additionally:

• Up to 30% travel required

• This is a remote position based in the continental United States, preferably on the West Coast or Pacific Northwest, in proximity to a key metropolitan area with access to a major airport.
