Patient Representative

We are seeking a highly driven Patient Representative to join our growing team. The Patient Representative plays a vital role in supporting patients through their financial assistance journey, from initial assessment to ongoing management. This position requires outstanding teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. What You Will Do:

  • Contact patients by phone, email, or text to collect any required documentation (e.g., household income, insurance documentation) for enrollment into, and ongoing management associated with, financial assistance programs
  • Communicate directly with on-site client staff to collect signatures on paperwork and prescriptions to submit to patient assistance programs
  • Collaborate with other internal partners to follow up on pending patient applications with financial assistance programs using portal access or phone when necessary
  • Ensure all activity and information is documented within the AssistPointⓇ platform and other internal/external systems
  • Maintain consistent communication with patients, clients, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of enrollment steps
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any patient or documentation issues
  • Research and resolve any outstanding concerns raised by clients
  • Act on STAT opportunities for enrollment into financial assistance opportunities if and when alerted
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations
  • Provide a compassionate, patient-centered experience with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
  • Respect the dignity and confidentiality of patients
  • Assist with training and orientation of new employees as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned


About You:

  • Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Empathy and patience in working with patients facing financial challenges in a high-stress medical situation
  • Proficiency in using technology platforms like AssistPoint or similar healthcare tools
  • Experience in oncology (or other complex specialty)
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability/desire to thrive in a service-oriented culture
  • Quick and deep learner
