About Role:

The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the planning, development, and execution of all human resources functions. This role ensures legal compliance, fosters a positive workplace culture, and aligns HR strategies with the organization's overall mission and business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full scope of HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, benefits, training and development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Oversee the daily operations and workflow of the HR department.
  • Provide timely and constructive performance evaluations to HR team members.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals related to staffing, recruitment, and retention.
  • Plan and execute organization design and workforce planning initiatives that improve efficiency and support evolving business needs.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data from systems (HRIS/talent platforms) to inform decision-making and track organizational trends.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; update policies as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HR trends, best practices, employment laws, and emerging technologies.
  • Administer HR programs, such as, leave of absence, disciplinary actions, investigations, talent management, recognition programs, and employee development.
  • Compensation and Benefits Oversight, strategy development, total rewards program and compensation structures and benchmarking salaries.
  • Monitor adherence to internal HR policies and regulatory standards.

  • Act as a liaison between management and employees, providing guidance on policies and resolving concerns.
  • Anticipate and plan for current and future staffing and recruitment needs in partnership with leadership.
  • Develop and manage the HR departmental budget.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification highly preferred.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems preferred.
  • HR Analytics and data-driven decision-making

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
