Job description

 
Summary

The Senior Behavioral Health Associate will provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff, and  assessment and therapy services to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral concerns who attend area school districts. Care will be provided virtually while the student is either at home or in school. Services will be provided within the context of the state-funded Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium and Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine program.

Job Duties
  • Provides clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff with a focus on case conceptualization and treatment planning.
  • Reviews and approves treatment plans and interventions.
  • Provides assessment for and treatment of behavioral health problems for children and adolescents in a telehealth format. 
  • Develops treatment plans with patients and families to address mental health problems. 
  • Provides brief therapeutic interventions for mental health problems.
  • Provides case coordination and care management when indicated.
  • Consults with psychiatrists and other care team members regarding patient care responsibilities.
  • Completes required documentation and statistical reporting in a timely manner. 
  • Attends center staff meetings, program and department meetings as required.
  • Provides educational presentations to school district personnel, parents, and students. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field of Social Work, Counseling or Psychology.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of relevant experience.
