Job description

The position

We are hiring a Team Lead who will be responsible for guiding and supporting a team of five Engineers, specialising in Sympower's Hardware (IoT devices) and Resources domain. This role focuses on team leadership, people management and technical direction rather than direct code contributions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of People Management, IoT technologies and software delivery management methodologies, with additional knowledge of BESS and Java/Kotlin being advantageous.

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of five engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Oversee software development planning, task assignment, and progress tracking, ensuring timely delivery of projects.

  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.

  • Addressing concerns from the team during a recent restructuring change

  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

  • Identify and address technical challenges, providing guidance and solutions.

  • Ensure adherence to technical standards and best practices.

  • Work with the Product Manager and coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.

  • Manage resource allocation and capacity planning for the team.
