Job description

HeadQuarters is a global start-up that supports US cannabis companies in finance, sales operations, and logistics.

We are seeking an experienced Automations Engineer with deep expertise in Make.com (Integromat) and a solid understanding of financial and accounting workflows. In this role, you will design, build, and manage automation solutions that enhance the efficiency of our Finance and Accounting team. Your work will streamline operations such as accounts payable, receivable, reporting, and compliance by connecting various software tools and eliminating manual work. The right candidate will be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and proactively identifying automation opportunities.

⏰ Working hours: 9 am - 5 pm PST (6 pm - 2 am Serbian time)

Key Responsibilities:

✔️Design, build, and maintain robust workflows in Make.com to automate finance and accounting tasks.

✔️Integrate financial platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) with CRMs, spreadsheets, databases, and other tools via Make.com.
✔️Collaborate with finance and operations teams to identify pain points, gather requirements, and implement automation solutions.
✔️Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations to improve scalability, reliability and efficiency.
✔️Document automation architecture, workflows, and maintenance procedures.
✔️Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with financial and security standards and regulations.
✔️Provide knowledge transfer and training on automation usage and management.

Requirements

✅Must Have:

Demonstrated experience building and managing workflows in Make.com (Integromat).
Functional knowledge of accounting/finance processes including AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliation, and reporting.
Experience working with financial tools and APIs.
Strong ability to map business processes and translate them into efficient automation workflows.-
Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive and problem-solving skills.
Strong English communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in remote, cross-functional environments.

✅Nice to Have:

Experience with other automation tools such as Zapier, Tray.io, or n8n.
Background or experience working in regulated industries (especially cannabis, or related).
