The Role:

As our Senior Medical Writer, you will lead the creation and delivery of high-quality clinical content across the organisation. From patient-facing literature and website content to clinical papers, your work will support a wide range of cancer conditions and reflect the advanced treatments we offer.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring all written materials are medically accurate, tailored to their audience, and aligned with our quality, regulatory, and brand standards. Your expertise will help us communicate clearly, compassionately, and effectively whether to patients, clinicians, or external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

  • Clinical content leadership and development across patient and professional platforms
  • Translation of complex scientific information into clear, patient-friendly formats
  • Line management and mentoring of a part-time Medical Writer
  • Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners

What You'll Have:

Experience and skills:

  • Marked experience in senior-level medical writing, preferably within the oncology field
  • Previous experience in developing patient-facing content is a must.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong ability to translate clinical content for patient consumption.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate, and compliant content.
  • Line management experience. 

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • A degree in a relevant scientific or medical field, or equivalent experience
  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Oncology, Medicine or a related discipline is desirable.

Other requirements for this role:

  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK for team meetings and relevant events
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
