Job Description

WHAT DOES A PROGRAMATIC SUPERVISOR DO?

As the Supervisor, Programmatic at EVERSANA INTOUCH, you will oversee the execution and optimization of programmatic advertising campaigns, ensuring they meet client objectives and deliver strong performance. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with a deep understanding of programmatic advertising, data analysis, and campaign management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Media, Account, and Analytics, to develop and implement programmatic strategies that align with business goals and client needs. The Supervisor will also oversee Programmatic Trader role, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.  

The Programmatic Supervisor manages the programmatic resources and all day-to-day planning, buying and reporting work for a portfolio of media brands. The Programmatic Supervisor is able to identify and independently mitigate low-level risk scenarios, accompanied by conflict resolution actions. The Programmatic Supervisor must also know when to properly engage and escalate issues to senior media team members. 

  • The primary responsibility is the effective management and optimization of live programmatic campaigns AND/OR oversight of the programmatic traders executing those accounts. 
  • Meet client objectives while implementing and managing programmatic campaigns within agency trading desk  
  • Monitor and analyze campaign expectations on performance, brand safety and viewability  
  • Act as the programmatic point person for specific accounts/brands within the portfolio of business they are allocated to  
  • Oversee Programmatic Trader(s); effectively managing and delegating to Programmatic Trader(s) on their team 
  • Responsible for QA of Programmatic Trader tasks 
  • Understands the customer journey and how programmatic fits in 
  • Provides media thought leadership and guidance to the team - both to integral media planning/account teams and when included in client meetings  
  • Provides clear direction to the internal programmatic team at planning kick-offs 
  • Responsible for the overall proposal/recommendation and executional output the programmatic team provides for the specific brand(s) 
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and agency partners including internal agency partners  
  • Contribute to the development of team documents based on experience and media industry knowledge 
  • Perform data analysis and optimization and contribute to reporting for campaign 

Qualifications

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Three-six years in programmatic advertising, including hands-on-keyboard experience  
  • Expert in demand-side platforms and 3rd party verification tools
  • Experience managing data partners and audience creation 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, formulas, etc.) 
  • Pay strong attention to detail and the QA process, before work is deemed "final" 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required
  • Ability to train others
  • An expert in independently developing client-facing slides on their own, without the help of creative / design
  • Understand how to present media data or information in new and compelling ways 
  • Has a complete understanding of the media process from start to finish
  • Understand the nuanced process of delegating work 
  • Must stay abreast of new and emerging trends / technologies, while also authoring industry-centric POVs 
  • Create and share best practices across team 
  • Feedback on platform; platform analysis 
  • Identify trends across clients/advertisers 
  • Identify compelling media learnings and provide case studies at the end of media campaigns/throughout the year 
  • Constantly thinking of new solutions to meet clients' brand goals 
  • Understand the information needed from the media planning team/account team/ client in order to put forth the best media thinking  
  • Think beyond the initial ask and anticipate questions
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently while understanding their role within the larger team; does not work in a vacuum 
  • Oversee analysis of performance metrics and communicate or propose optimization recommendations supported by data and insights 
  • Identifies trends in data to drive optimization 
  • Responsible for campaign audits, executing checks and balances 
  • Advanced problem-solving skills 
  • Understand prioritization and multitasking; time management 
  • Clearly articulate thoughts, ideas and concerns as it relates to the greater good of the campaign

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $76,000 to $113,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
