Sales Manager (individual contributor to start)
Compensation:  Equity in lieu of salary until funding or revenue goals are met
 
Our client is a cutting-edge AI company revolutionizing how businesses interact with their data. Their innovative natural language platform allows users to engage with complex data through simple, conversational questions—no technical expertise required – removing bias and fabrications.  They are on a mission to make data insights accessible to everyone, empowering smarter decisions at every level.
 
They are hiring their first sales manager to bring in new business (from initial contact to close) and, as business develops, build a team.
 
What you will be challenged with:
  • Starting with warm leads, navigate organizations to connect with the decision makers, typically CIOs and CTOs
  • Create messaging and expand on existing material to develop compelling presentations explaining the value their product brings
  • Collaborate with internal management to assess the best paths to revenue growth
 
What you bring to the role:
  • Experience in complex enterprise sales (AI experience is not required, but understanding systems such as ERP, supply chain management is critical)
  • Experience taking sales from the hunt to the close (some farming will be available at the start, so you won’t be starting from scratch)
  • Ability to navigate organizations to get to the decision maker
  • Ability and passion to roll up your sleeves and sell
  • Strategic ability – seeing and creating a path to success
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, listen to various ideas, and come to a consensus on the right approach
  • Experience bringing in deals from $1M - $15M (potential clients range from small to large)
  • A mix of “I” and “We” mentality; you have confidence in your abilities, you have a strong track record of success, and you like to share in the success
  • Ability to build teams
