The
Procurement Analyst will be responsible for maintaining Skillable’s purchase order platform, managing our supplier enablement workflow, assisting with accounts payable tasks, and completing adhoc financial projects. They will regularly oversee the full procurement cycle and ensure all processes and documents are completed and available to successfully manage the company’s vendors and suppliers’ relationship.
Responsibilities
- Support global and regional procurement initiatives for supplier enablement and purchase order system performance in Coupa Procurement software.
- Serve as the Coupa Procurement and Supplier Enablement platform administrator and subject matter expert for the Finance department, Configure and maintain the Coupa system, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing workflows.
- Act as the primary procurement representative for Finance focused on the daily, weekly and monthly improvement, research, analysis and general compliance in processes for purchase orders.
- Drive supplier, vendor, and contractor enablement compliance across all departments.
- As required, professionally serve as a Skillable liaison between vendors, suppliers and departments and participate in negotiations for service contracts.
- Establish adequate record keeping and compliance procedures that meet audit standards.
- Partner closely with Accounts Payable focused team members to ensure valid functionality between purchase orders and invoices.
- Assist with analyzing and verifying information from Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations.
- Ensure appropriate management and documentation for Skillable’s credit card accounts in partnership with Finance leadership and People Success.
- As requested, compile and analyze information from accounting, payroll, HRIS, business intelligence, and company operating systems to meet reporting and auditing needs throughout the year.
- Regularly reconcile bank and credit card statements, track fixed assets and assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
- Partner with the Financial Controller to prepare for the company’s annual financial audit; compiling information for Federal taxes, and prepare state and local tax returns.
- Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by preparing company analyses; schedule and review financial information of counter-parties.
- Keep aware of updates and trends with the Coupa system and other critical internal Finance systems to ensure best practices and appropriate utilization in streamlining internal processes.
- Support and promote the company values through positive interactions with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Other strategic business initiatives or special cross-functional project involvement as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or relevant professional experience
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience at a B2B company; software industry experience preferred.
- 3+ years of experience evaluating supplier programs, identifying costs savings, sourcing and negotiating, and monitoring supplier performance and purchase order compliance.
- 3+ years Coupa Procurement Platform required
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 software
- Working knowledge of mid-market accounting systems such as Sage Intacct
- General Ledger account reconciliation experience
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and efficient in day-to-day work
- Naturally inquisitive with a desire to solve problems, dig into data, and prepare detailed analysis.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and promoting collaborative, professional partnerships to drive results.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with customer experience first in mind to a variety of audiences/levels including leadership through various mediums.
- Ability to take a complex financial issue, deconstruct it, and develop a cogent presentation of data, issues, and options for discussion with senior managers.
- Thorough understanding of and willingness to learn about) business operations and processes especially in a technology company environment.
- High-level of confidence, integrity, enthusiasm and executive presence.
- Comfortable working with complex data sets and queries
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision in a fully remote, home office environment.
Salary Range
The base salary for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 annually. Consistent with applicable laws, compensation will be determined based on the candidate's level, relevant skills, qualifications, and experience along with requirements for the position and annual financial plans.
Skillable is a distributed first team with employees working across the U.S., and we do not consider geography when determining compensation ranges.
Please note that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Skillable reserves the right to modify this compensation range at any time.
Pay range and current benefit offerings are effective for 90 days from posting date. Standard employment offerings are subject to potential change upon periodic review and analysis, at the discretion of Skillable.

Working Conditions
The job conditions for this position are in a remote home office setting, requiring a space that supports privacy and focus to attend to regular and frequent video and voice calls. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Periodic travel may be required equaling up to approximately 10% of the time.
