Job Description
Under direct supervision, the human resources representative is responsible for performing HR operational duties including but not limited to the onboarding of new hires, data entry and maintenance of employee records, coordinating new hire orientation, performance evaluation administration, and offboarding of staff.
Extends verbal and preliminary offers, sends onboarding documents and serves as point of contact with candidates to facilitate a positive onboarding experience.
In conjunction with background coordinator, ensures that all background processes for assigned candidates are complete and documented appropriately.
Reviews candidates onboarding documents to ensure they are completed properly.
Enters all new pre-employment applicants/employee’s information into Human Resources System as required, and documents onboarding pipeline to ensure that all processes have been completed.
Contacts new hires/appointments to communicate start date/orientation.
Coordinates the online performance evaluation process in HR system. Creates, transfers to a new supervisor and re-opens performance document upon request.
Facilitates timely responses with walk- in employee’s inquiries and/or escalates to HR Shared Services/ESS or other HR experts, as needed.
Sets up the personnel records for newly hired employees in OnBase and ensures that all documents are scanned into correct folders.
Follows all System policies and procedures on personnel record keeping.
Executes various administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, performing data entry and processing, recording, sorting and filling HR documents.
Responsible for facilitating transfers to other facilities, ensuring timely communication and transmitting the complete personnel records of transferred employees.
Participates in HR audits
Cooperates on Employee Engagement initiatives launched by HR and other departments.
Performs other general HR administrative tasks and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline; or
High School Diploma or its educational equivalent and two (2) years of relevant experience in human resources, administration, labor relations, employee relations, learning and development, talent acquisition, customer service (providing information and resolving customer concerns), or a related administrative support function.
Department Preferences
PHR or SHRM - CP Certification preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or related field from an accredited college or university; or,
Graduation from a senior high school and four years of satisfactory semi-professional or technical experience in personnel operations; or,
A satisfactory equivalent combination of college, education, training and experience
One year of experience working in a similar role in a Human Resources Department, preferably in a healthcare or non-profit setting.
High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of HRIS systems, PeopleSoft or similar.
