As a Portfolio Analyst on the Asset-Backed Finance (ABF) team at TCW, you will play a key role in supporting the investment process and client communications across a range of structured credit and securitized asset classes. Working closely with portfolio managers and senior analysts, you’ll contribute to investment analysis, performance tracking, risk management, and client reporting.

This role offers a strong foundation in ABF and may serve as a potential pathway to future opportunities within the investment team or as a product specialist.
Essential Duties
Support lead PMs in developing internal and external ABF-related content, including marketing decks, white papers, DDQs, and investment memos.
Coordinate with internal sales, operational, legal, and marketing teams all ABF-related activities.
Support lead PMs in portfolio monitoring, reporting, and trading.
Engage with sell-side counterparts and internal securitized product teams to monitor deal flow.
Develop understanding of individual positions, contribute to team discussion.
Broad exposure to public and private structured product investing across multiple vehicle types.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 18 months direct structured finance banking or research experience
Fluent in PowerPoint and Excel modeling
Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
Two-year commitment to the role
Desired Qualifications
Coding background and Intex knowledge a plus
Estimated Compensation
Base Salary: For NY based position, the base salary range is $120k - $130k . This is an anticipated range only.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus.
